LOUVRE

DRAWING ON PAPER (150X245cm)

This large-format drawing, made by covering paper in graphite and erasing it to create the image, offers a Trinitarian view of an unlikely gathering.

The grounds of this cultural mecca, repository of historical and artistic memory, are littered with clusters of amphorae. Like a temple, where the faithful have gathered in anticipation and hope of a momentous event, their gaze converges on the shattered glass ceiling that opens to the immensity and grandeur of the heavens

The scene seems to have been immortalised in the manner of a daguerreotype, while at the same time recalling the video format of a telephone screen.
